King's student suspected of attacking Union staff

A male youth attacked Union staff at approximately 22.40 last Thursday, 2 March. The attack took place in Beit Quad as senior Union staff were attempting to escort the assailant from the premises.

Students at Imperial "unable to write English accurately"

Dr Bernard Lamb, a reader in genetics at the Biological Sciences department of Imperial College, made national news this week after revealing that overseas students are significantly better at spelling and grammar than their British counterparts.

More thefts in Ethos

There have been at least two more thefts from the lockers in the Ethos sports centre. Two weeks ago Felix (1345) revealed the insecurity of the PIN code operated lockers, and we were reassured by College that the lockers are safe.

Frank Ellis, a lecturer in Russian and Slavonic studies at Leeds University, faces loosing his job for supporting a theory stating that black people are inferior to whites.
Strike triggers marking boycott
Lecturers up and down the country took strike action this week over continued pay disputes. A national rally took place on Tuesday at Westminster with fewer than 100 lecturers in attendance.
Imperial students lose the vote
