Registry underperforming

Issue #1348 [Mar 16th 2006]

Dear Rupert

I'm writing in response to the student who complained anonymously about the waiting time to get a form stamped in the Registry. We do not stamp and sign forms on demand because we have to run a series of checks on the information on the form and also verify that the person the form is for is a student here and that matters like dates of attendance are correct. You will find this is the case with all other institutions, indeed many have much longer waiting times.

Re: Registry underperforming
This is not true. The registry at UCL issue standard, stamped letters confirming student status within minutes. All you need is your ID card and they will check their records while you wait. They also do not place a restriction on the number you need.
