Imperial's fantastic brains
Dear Felix,
Imperial prides itself on being full of fantastic brains. Please can you explain the following:
1. Handles on push doors. Handles = pull. You look a right idiot when you struggle to open such doors and an even bigger one when you run towards such doors.
2. The library entrance has a bar placed at a rather inconvenient height for most males. This is not my main gripe. I wish to know why the bar does not rotate the second the machine beeps. Is it not possible for the bar movement and bleep sound to be synchronised? My manhood has certainly suffered from this problem and I fear I'm not the only IC male to have suffered.
3. Who designed Ethos? The male's wet changing room has a single door entrance which is straight in line with the corridor. Therefore when someone enters all changing males are exposed to the corridor. Personally I'm fine with that (the changing rooms are normally well heated) but surely the installation of a second door to reduce the chance of exposure would have made sense. There's enough wasted space in Ethos. There is a similar problem in the upstairs changing rooms as well. Was the designer a wannabe flasher?
4. Finally, is there a trapped whale in the Ethos water system? On numerous occasions I have heard a mighty groan when turning a shower on. Given that it is Green Week I hope Felix will investigate this matter and lead a free the whale campaign if he/she really does exist.
Regards,
The Monday Moaner!
