Bone marrow fun run
Issue #1342 [Feb 2nd 2006]
Students from Imperial College School of Medicine (ICSM) are organising a Bone Marrow Fun Run to take place at Hyde Park next month. The Fun Run is being organised by students to raise awareness about marrow donation and to encourage others to put their names on the national register.
Each year various clinics are held at Imperial College in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building in the hope of recruiting students to sign up to the register to help save lives. The event is being held on 5 March and runners will need to pay a £5 participation fee or get people to sponsor them for the entire race or for each kilometre they run. All proceeds will go to the Anthony Nolan Trust charity.
