International Student Award
Issue #1342 [Feb 2nd 2006]
Once again, the British Council are running their annual International Student Awards. Judging by previous years, Imperial have a good chance. In 2004, for example, nine Imperial students were shortlisted for the finals, and in 2003, an Imperial student was awarded the Silver medal.
The award allows international students to truly make the most of their time in the UK. Unlike most competitions, the International Student Awards focus on non-academic experiences and achievements. The top prize is a modest £2,000, with another 12 major awards and 50 runners-up prizes. Entry is simple: just fill in the online form, which can be found on www.educationuk.org/shine/enter.
