Deputy President (Graduate Students) elected
Luis Hui will become Imperial College Union's seventh sabbatical after being elected to the new role of Deputy President (Graduate Students).
Mr Hui, who has studied at Imperial for five years and is currently a taught postgraduate in the Business School, was elected with 179 votes after New Election had been eliminated. His only rival, Jon Smith, received 135 votes.
The Deputy President (Graduate Students) will focus on academic representation, postgraduate welfare, postgraduate involvement in student activities and other issues.
Funding for the post became available from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) earlier this year.

Meanwhile, four other elections to central Union positions also took place.
Kian Sing Low was elected as next year's Welfare Campaigns Officer, Tom Elliott will be RAG Chair and John Collins becomes Council Chair. Joint candidates Ramya Ramaswami and Adalina Sacco were elected to head the Community Action Group (CAG).
