'Stop Bush' EGM ruled unconstitutional
Posted: Nov 17th 2003, 13:11
The petition received last week to ask for an Emergency general meeting - see "Union to call EGM on 'Stop Bush' Motion?', Felix 1276 - has been deemed unconstitutional, on the grounds that the Union's only policy making bodies are Council and referenda.
It is unclear, as yet, what those people that called the petition intend to do on the matter, but it may well come up again at Union Council tomorow, when the President will fully explain the reasoning behind deeming this to be unconstitutional. A full report on the matter will hence be posted after council tomorrow.
